Reactions As Woman Gets Fired For Bleaching

A Nigerian woman has been fired from her job for bleaching her skin.

A Twitter user identified as Ikot Sharon revealed how she had to let a staff go because her knuckles were dark while her body was white and she would have to serve customers with those same hands.

The woman stated that she went ahead to suggest the lady wear gloves to cover up her hands but she refused.

When they offered to move her from the floor she declined because she was hired as a waitress.

Below are Nigerians reactions to the decision to lay off the lady

Naturalist: “Things like this will only be read on twitter, the “reporter” won’t even have the liver to mention the organisation. The other time it was a lady on twitter that was rejected at an interview for her weight or so (I can’t really remember). People lie a lot to chase clout. “

Anonymous: “Not intentionally but people don’t perceive women with bleached skin as “serious” especially in a corporate setting; rather in clubs, parties, etc perfect fit. Bleaching not necessary stand for “beauty” but “sex”

Sola: “That served her right if she intentionally bleached her skin. Low life, inferiority complex somebori”

Olounjueda: “Later she will go and play the victim without saying the whole story. Learn to listen to the other party, but you women here are so emotional, you all run wild. If you like it or not, just like the case of rape you all bashing me, which means nothing to me, I will still say hear from the man first, deal with it, you better pray your father or husband or brother is not falsely accused of rape, then you will know how devastating it it. But you all want all men to believe a lady when she says she is raped but will be happy when a lady kills a man, pours acid on a man, you won’t comment when a woman kills a baby or children. You all keep proving me right with this distasteful attitude that most women hate accountability. I know some will still run wild and insult me, but insults don’t move me @ll. No matter how much you cry, I will keep exposing the hypocrisy of women here. Deal with it.”

Omokaro: “So why are you publishing it.is it your company’s policy to make public reasons for laying off staffs , whenever you do? I mean..why is this even in public space?”
