Outrage As Kogi State University ‘Presents’ First-Class Graduate ₦2000 Cheque
The decision of Kogi State University to reportedly present the sum two thousand Naira award to a first-class graduate of the institution has stirred reactions online.
It was gathered that KSU presented first-class graduates, two thousand Naira, while the overall best graduates were given five thousand Naira.
Some Nigerians in reaction to the development after it was shared in a published report on Twitter, stated that it is not worth it spending four to five years in University, when a Big Brother Naija housemate can win hundred million in three months.
Others believe reality show stars can make millions in month after leaving the house rather than waste years studying in schools.

This goes to show how much we value education in this Country.
Seeing this and I am left to wonder why young Nigerians shouldn’t hold on to the slogan “School na scam” when we value Touts like Mc Oluomo more than even our First Class graduates in this Country

For this one, I would say the recognition is more valuable than the prize. If it’s bigger it’s worth it, but no one or institutions can give what they don’t have.
Congratulations to those students who excelled beyond expectations, and all others that made it to the crossing line— David Eboh (@DavidEboh5) January 31, 2022
What a compromise system that promote&rewards promiscuity on a national television but exchange an empty presidential handshake with 1st class&other academic excellence later U will condem people going to do nonsense on BBnaija when they stand a chance to receive 90million naira pic.twitter.com/z8cSqh2hDs

Am Pretty sure the same Kogi will award the winner of Bbnaija N10M, plot of land/house & a state youth ambassadorial role if the winner is from the state! see why we say the state and private sector (Sponsors) are all responsible for the rot in educational sector!
