The new Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Olarewaju Oladimeji assumed office on Thursday, and read the Riot Act to criminals, asking them to leave the state.

Oladimeji gave this assurance while addressing newsmen at the state command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, the state capital.

He warned lawbreakers to leave the state, stressing that the command will work together with other security agencies to achieve the task ahead.

He added that the command will do its best to chase cultists out of the state, warning that whoever is apprehended for any form of crime will face the wrath of the law.

He said, “Our plan is to make sure that all law-abiding citizens in Ogun State sleep well. If you are law-abiding, you have no problem. But if you are not law-abiding and you are a criminal, this is time for you to relocate because if you don’t relocate, you will not like what will happen to you.

“We will make sure that those who are law-abiding will enjoy their stay in Ogun State. I can assure you that, we are going to synergize with sister agencies to make sure we achieve our goals.

“We will make sure that Ogun State is not turned into a cultist state.

“All cultists who are in Ogun State, please, start relocating, we are going to prosecute anyone caught for cultism.”
