Nigerians React As Moghalu Loses ADC Presidential Ticket

A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Kingsley Moghalu has been defeated in the race for the 2023 presidential ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He was defeated by a less known media entrepreneur, Dumebi Kachikwu during the presidential primaries held on Wednesday by the party.

Ezenwoko’s Blog reports that Kachikwu defeated Moghalu by polling 977 votes against Moghalu’s 589 votes. Chukwuka Monye came third with 339 votes at the primary exercise held in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Just seeing that a few days ago an ADC chieftain clearly stated that Dumebi Kachikwu & Prof. Moghalu were the only “serious contenders” in the race.

They came 1st & 2nd respectively.

The fact that Dumebi Kachikwu won the ADC’s presidential primaries ahead of the prominent candidates like Moghalu & Monye is a clear proof that the masses place money ahead of competence.
