Ndidi returns, Iheanacho misses out, Lookman denied by VAR as Leicester force Leeds to a draw
The 24-year-old midfielder made his return to the Foxes starting lineup, but his international compatriot was missing on Sunday afternoon
Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi made his return from injury as Leicester City played out a 1-1 draw with Leeds United in their Premier League encounter at Elland Road.
Before Sunday, Ndidi had not played for the Foxes since picking up a hamstring injury in their Premier League encounter against Burnley in September.
The Nigerian international slotted straight into the lineup, and he delivered another brilliant performance. The Super Eagles star made five tackles and two interceptions, while he also won ten of his duels.
Ndidi made two accurate long balls and managed one shot off target. However, while Ndidi was on the pitch for the entire duration, his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute.
Meanwhile, new Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman came on in the second half and almost got the winner for Brendan Rodgers men, but his effort was ruled out by VAR.
Leicester had to come back to salvage a point courtesy of an immediate equaliser from Harvey Barnes after Rapinha had put Leeds ahead in the 26th-minute.
