Napoli hit by Osimhen blow as Super Eagles striker is ruled out of Salernitana clash

Napoli have confirmed that Nigerian sticker Victor Osimhen has sustained a muscular injury which has ruled him out of the club’s Serie A away tie at Salernitana.

The Super Eagles striker participated in team training on Friday but had to leave earlier than scheduled after succumbing to a muscle strain in his right gastrocnemius.

Confirming the injury on the club’s official website, Napoli revealed that it would keep the 22-year-old out manager Luciano Spalletti’s squad for their next league match in Salerno. However, there was no word on how long the exciting forward will spend on the sidelines.
