Mercy Johnson Explains Why She Stopped Acting Romantic Scenes

Nollywood actress and film director, Mercy Johnson has explained the reason behind her decision to stop acting romantic movie scenes.

Ezenwoko’s Blog reports that the mother of four revealed that her husband, Prince Odianosen Okojie disapproved of such roles.

According to her, every time her husband sees her playing roles with romantic scene, it makes him very unhappy, and to save her marriage; she had to stop accepting movies that demanded her to act romantic roles in them.

The actress who met her husband 11 years ago on a flight to France, and they got married on August 27, 2011, is blessed with four beautiful kids.

Mercy Johnson’s first movie ‘The Maid’ which brought her into limelight attracted her into numerous moviemakers as she featured in numerous movies including comedy and romantic movies.

Meanwhile, Mercy Johnson  recently made an interesting revelation about her marriage as she celebrates her 11th wedding anniversary.

Ezenwoko’s Blog reports that the talented actress took to her Instagram page to share a beautiful family shoot.

Mercy expressed appreciation to God as she also eulogised her husband, Prince Odi Okojie.

According to the mother of four, she has never moved without her husband’s permission and blessing and she’s thankful for their union.

She wrote: “You have done me well Lord……I could ask for nothing more. @princeodiokojie, My friend and Partner. My gossip gee and quarrelling paddy.

“I have never moved without your permission and blessings .Words alone cannot praise you my Love.. God bless you babe….Love you today and always…Cheers to another chapter”
