Massive Defection In Kebbi As Hundreds Of Youths Join NNPP From Different Parties

A fast-growing political party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP on Wednesday reportedly received a massive number of youths from different camps in Kebbi State.

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, youths said to be in their hundreds were received into NNPP by party excos and house of representative aspirant Abubakar Aliyu Dangaladima at Gulumbe, Ezenwoko’s Blog reports.

Aliyu while welcoming the new party members, said their defection into the party was an indication that NNPP has transformed into a real third force on a rescue mission to salvage Nigeria from its current state.

“We will leave no stone unturned to ensure we clinch power to turn the dream of Nigerians into reality which is repositioning Nigeria to meet the expectations of Nigerians,” he said.

Meanwhile, amidst the reactions trailing the resignation of the former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi from the opposition People’s Democratic Party, a former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has revealed what will become of him if he joins NNPP.

This is coming a few hours after the campaign posters of Peter Obi alongside former Kano Governor Rabiu Kwakwaso surfaced online.

Meanwhile, it’s still unclear if Peter Obi has officially joined New Nigerian People’s Party, where Kwankwaso belongs.

In a post shared on the microblogging platform, Reno Omokri said Peter Obi will still not win the 2023 presidential election if he moves to NNPP and is given a Vice Presidential ticket to run with Kwankwaso as president ticket.

According to Remo Omokri, Peter Obi’s presence in the NNPP can prevent the People’s Democratic Party from winning and such a scenario may lead to an automatic victory for the All Progressives Congress Party.

He wrote: “If Peter Obi moves to NNPP and is given their vice presidential ticket to run with Kwankwaso as a Presidential ticket, they won’t win the 2023 Presidential election. However, they can prevent the PDP from winning. Such a scenario may lead to an automatic APC victory”.
