Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Accident Claims Many Lives

An accident has occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, claiming many lives and injuring others in the process.

The horrific accident happened around 9 am on Tuesday when a fully loaded commercial bus travelling to Lagos collided with a diesel tanker at Fidiwo village, Ogun State end of the expressway.

As of the time of filing this report, men of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo State Command, were at the scene of the accident trying to rescue some of the victims.

In other news, His Royal Highness, the Da Gwom Rwei of Vwang, Da Gyang Balak Gut, has been rescued from his abductors.

Ezenwoko’s Blog had reported that the traditional ruler was kidnapped on Sunday night while on his way to Vom around the National Institute For Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru in Jos South Local Government Area of the state.

Confirming the release, the spokesman of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Ishaku Takwa, said the monarch was rescued after clearance operations in the mountainous region of Sabon Gida Kanal, Gero and Dahol general area of the state.

In a statement on Tuesday, Takwa disclosed that two suspects were arrested during the operation, adding that the monarch has been united with his family.
