JUST IN: Court Passes Death Sentence On Killers Of Afenifere’s Leader

The killers of Mrs Funke Olakunrin, the daughter of former Afenifere leader, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, have been handed death sentence.

A High Court sitting in Akure ruled on the three suspects on Friday after series of trials.

Ezenwoko’s Blog recalls that Olakunrin was murdered by the convicts along Benin-Ore-Shagamu Expressway in the Ore Odigbo Local Government Area of the state in June 2019 while she was traveling to Lagos State.

The convicts are revealed as Awalu Abubakar, Muhammed Shehu and Adamu Adamu.

The High Court judge, Justice Williams Olamide found the trio guilty of involving in murder, kidnapping and armed robbery and sentenced them to death.
