Following the development, the Federal Government immediately published photos and names of some of the escaped inmates.
A statement on Tuesday by the spokesman of the Plateau Command, Geoffrey Longdiem, said some of the fleeing inmates were arrested while others returned voluntarily.
Longdiem added that the inmates were arrested in collaboration with other security agencies.
“As of today, we have recaptured 21 of the inmates who escaped during the last attack at our custodial centre in Jos,” he said.
