Gunmen Kill Three Police Officers, Another In Niger State

Three personnel of the Nigeria Police Force have been killed in Niger State by unknown gunmen.

The security operatives paid the supreme call while responding to a distress call on Thursday, May 12, Ezenwoko’s Blog learnt.

Reporting the incident, Daily Trust confirmed that the assailants suspected to be kidnappers, gunned down the three police officers and a commercial motorcyclist in Suleja on Thursday around 11pm.

The security personnel were reportedly ambushed by the gunmen who could possibly have been waiting for the security men near a place called Old Barracks

The identity of the slain officers were revealed as; SGG Hosea Saba, CPL Yahaya Yakubu and PSC Aminu Sani, all attached to B Division Suleja.

Confirming the incident, Suleja Council Chairman, Abdullahi Shuaibu Maje, said about three persons, including a vigilante member, survived the attack.

He added that they are currently being treated at a hospital in the area.

Meanwhile, a suspected cultist identified as Tijani Olagunju has revealed how he killed three people to get promotion to the number two position in the group.

According to the suspect who is a member of the Eiye Confraternity in the Ilorin Zone, he killed members of the rival cult with the pistol of his late father, Army Captain, AbdulAzeez Olagunju.

Tijani disclosed that his group appointed him as the executioner of rival cult members in superiority brawls.

The suspect disclosed this while being paraded by the Kwara State Police Command.

Tijani while speaking with newsmen disclosed that he dropped out of the University of Ilorin, adding that he joined the cult gang in 2019.

He noted that the benefits that come with being the number two person in the zone include food, drinks, women and money.
