Fintiri Reveals The President That Can End Boko Haram Insurgency In Nigeria

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has submitted that what Nigeria needs to end Boko Haram and other activities of insurgents is a President from the North East region.

He expressed confidence that within the first term of such a presidency, insurgency will become a thing of history.

The Governor made the submission on Thursday when he spoke at the 2021 North East Star Magazine awards where he was represented by his Chief of Staff, Prof. Maxwell Gidado.

According to him, a President from the North East will understand the situation and will easily tackle the situation.

He alleged also that the Muhammadu Buhari administration didn’t give enough support to Lt.Gen Tukur Buratai when he was the country’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS).

“The Boko Haram insurgency will be wiped out in the first term of a president from the North East. It is a popular saying that he, who wears the shoe, knows where it pinches him. Lt. Gen. Buratai did his best when he was at the helm of affairs.

If he had been given 100 per cent support, I want to believe, he would have snuffed out the terrorists in Sambisa forest” Fintiri said.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has identified the sponsors of the agitator for Yoruba Nation, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, as it unraveled how Igboho got monies from 43 bank accounts, across nine banks.

The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN, who made this public on Friday, reiterated President Muhammadu Buhari’s disclosure that one of Igboho’s sponsors is a serving member of the National Assembly.

Malami, while addressing a press conference in Abuja, disclosed that a committee set up by the Federal Government found out the sponsors of Sunday Igboho and uncovered how millions were pumped into the secessionist’s bank accounts.
