Ex-Bauchi Central Senator, Abdul Ningi Bereaved
The former Senator representing Bauchi Central in the National Assembly, Abdul Ningi, has lost his mother to an undisclosed illness.
Ezenwoko’s Blog gathered that the mother of the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hajiya Abu, died on Sunday in Ningi town of Bauchi State.
She has however been buried according to the Islamic rite on Sunday evening and a funeral prayer held at the palace of the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya.
Some of the sympathisers that attended the burial rite include Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, top government functionaries, chieftains of the PDP and prominent politicians.
Speaking at the event, Governor Mohammed described the deceased as a pillar who lived an exemplary life, praying that Allah grant her Jannatul Firdaus and give the family the courage to bear the loss.
Responding on behalf of the family, the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Yunusa thanked the governor for the visit and words of encouragement.
Meanwhile, bandit terrorists have shot dead two worshippers out of the sixty-six people who were abducted from Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna.
Recall that the terrorists invaded the church exactly a week ago, killing a worshipper, while others were abducted.
A source that spoke with Daily Trust disclosed that the bandits requested bags of rice and gallons of groundnut oil to feed the victims.
It was reported that the terrorists asked the victims relatives to attend to the request if they don’t want them to starve.
The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Kaduna, Joseph Hayab, on Saturday disclosed that two of the victims were killed by the terrorists.
