Everton fans troll Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi ahead of Liverpool clash
The Nigerian star has had a torrid season, and he has become the subject of discussion -albeit negative- amongst Everton fans on Twitter
Everton fans have taken to Twitter to troll Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi. The former Arsenal man has become the major scapegoat in a poor Everton side that has struggled to win a game since the 25th of September.
The Toffees are on a winless streak, which has seen them pick up just two points from a possible twenty-one, making sure that they sit 14th on the Premier League log, five points away from relegation waters.
Due to the unavailability of Everton’s usual protagonists, he has had ample time to impress manager Rafael Benitez and the Everton faithful, but Iwobi has struggled to make the best of his time on the pitch.
I agree. I’ve definitely not been impressed by his substitutions and Iwobi was massively overpriced. I understand there’s now an argument going on as to who is now going to be in charge of acquisitions. I can see red cards tonight.

Honestly lad if Rondon or Iwobi start then he should be given the billet!

The 25-year-old has been guilty of a lot of misplaced passes, poor decision making and losing the ball in vital areas. After 11 Premier League games, Iwobi has recorded just a goal and an assist.
However, whilst Iwobi has been poor, the same can be said for his teammates. The defence has been especially porous, as they have conceded 13 goals in seven games.
Nevertheless, the 2019 AFCON bronze medallist will look to pick up the pace soon and help to fire his team to victory when they take on Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.
