Popular activist and one of the faces of the 2020 #EndSARS protest in Nigeria, Aisha Yesufu has reacted to the revelations made in the report submitted by the Lagos Judicial Panel.

Yesufu in her reaction described the content of the panel report as “bravely and courage personified.”

Ezenwoko’s Blog recalls that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has received the reports on police brutality cases and the Lekki shooting investigation from the state judicial panel.

The governor received the two reports from the Chairperson of the panel, Justice Doris Okuwobi (rtd). at the State Secretariat in Ikeja on Monday.

Speaking after receiving the report, Sanwo-Olu stated that the report will be submitted to the National Economic Council (NEC), chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

He asserted that the recommendations made by the panel in the reports would be considered and implemented to forestall cases of police brutality in the state and the country in general.

The content of the report has continued to stir reactions particularly from social media and its analysis also dominating the news.

This is as the panel in its report disclosed that not less than eleven people were killed at the Lekki tollgate on October 20, 2020.

The panel in the report titled, ‘Report of Lekki Incident Investigation Of 20th October 2020’, noted at least 48 protesters were either shot dead, injured with bullet wounds or assaulted by soldiers.

In her own reaction, Yesufu who took to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter commended what the Lagos panel did.

She described it as activism of the highest order.

Below is what she wrote: “Activism is not just about being at protest grounds and making demands. Courage and bravery is not only facing guns and bullets on the streets.

“You see what the Lagos panel did with this report?

“It is Activism of the highest order. It is bravely and Courage personified.”
