Ekweremadu’s Alleged Organ Harvesting: Met Police States Position On Divulging More Information

The London Metropolitan Police has spoken after they were contacted for further information concerning the arrest of Ike Ekweremadu and wife Beatrice.

Recall that Ezenwoko’s Blog earlier reported that a woman and a man with the same names and ages as Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice were apprehended on grounds of conspiracy to arrange/facilitate travel of another person with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting.

The investigation was launched after detectives were alerted to potential offences under modern slavery legislation in May 2022,” the police said.

The pieces of biographical data provided matched the publicly available personal data of Mr Ekweremadu, a former Deputy Senate President and his wife.

However, when Premium Times reached out to London Met for more information, they explained that they would not divulge information because the investigation was ongoing.

“As criminal proceedings are now underway we will not be providing further details,” Met said.

While the police did not state the gender of the child, they said “A child has been safeguarded and we are working closely with partners on continued support.”
