Boko Haram Terrorists Attack Chibok, Kill Three, Burn Houses
At least three people were reportedly killed in Chibok, Borno State on Friday night by suspected members of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists.
Ezenwoko’s Blog learnt that the assailants stormed the community in their numbers and carried out the heinous operation without any opposition.
A resident in the area who is confirmed to be a lecturer in the College of Education Dr. Shuaibu Musa told journalists on Saturday morning that hundreds of ISWAP/Boko Haram terrorists stormed the community, shooting sporadically last night.
He disclosed that the heavily armed insurgents stormed the Chibok community with five utility vehicles, mounted with anti-aircraft guns and moved without any resistance.
“They started shooting sporadically. Many residents ran for safety, while the shooting continued,” he said.
According to Musa, bullets hit three of those who attempted to run and they died instantly.
The terrorists also burnt down several houses and properties during the raid, Ezenwoko’s Blog understands.
The source according to Daily Post disclosed also that the insurgent group again stormed Kautikari village near Chibok town at exactly 4:pm, shooting sporadically and burning down several houses.
The lecturer stressed that they spent about two hours moving from house to house in the village.
Ezenwoko’s Blog recalls at the time Boko Haram were just springing up in the Northern region of the country, they attacked the Chibok community in April 2014 and kidnapped over 200 Chibok girls from a boarding school.
Records also have it that the assailants razed several houses during the attack which happened about seven months ago.
After a few months,s several of the kidnapped Chibok girls were released, while Leah Shuaibu was reportedly denied freedom due to her Christian belief.
However, since the first attack, the insurgents had on several occasions attacked the community, Ezenwoko’s Blog reports.
