Bandits Attack Tegina Again, Abduct Factory Workers

Bandit terrorists have abducted not less than five people in Tegina, Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State.

This is coming months after the terrorists abducted pupils of an Islamiyya school in Tegina.

Source that spoke with Daily Trust on the issue disclosed that the terrorists returned to the community this weekend and kidnapped five factory workers.

It was gathered that the bandits numbering about ten invaded the community with AK47.

The source while speaking on the incident noted that the terrorists stormed the town on Saturday at about 9pm and went to a sachet water factory adjacent Government Girls’ Secondary School in the community.

“They caught us unawares because they came on foot. We just started hearing gunshots and we ran for our lives. They went to the sachet water factory where five persons were taken away.”

In another development, members of the Islamic State in West Africa Province, ISWAP, have reportedly started collecting Zakat (taxes) from farmers and residents of Damboa in Borno State.

Ezenwoko’s Blog understands that Zakat is a mandatory Islamic obligation that an individual has to donate a certain proportion of wealth each year to charitable causes.

It was gathered that many farmers now live under the control of the dreaded terrorists group in the Damboa axis.
