Alumni move to expedite EKSU transcript, certificates processing


The Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti Alumni Association, has donated digitised transcript processing equipment to the institution to expedite the processing of transcripts and certificates by the school.

EKSU Alumni Global President, Dipo Bamisaye, who said the gesture was in addition to the computer laptops previously donated to the Transcripts Processing Unit of the institution, reiterated the association's commitment to the advancement and transformation of the university.

The Alumni Public Relations Officer, Olumide Abudu, said in a statement in Ado Ekiti on Saturday that Bamisaye spoke at EKSU while he alongside the Alumni Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Wale Jegede; the Chairman, Eminent Persons Group, Dr Tope Fasua and other leaders of the association handed over the equipment to the university.

EPG Chairman, Dr. Fasua, said that the donation of the multi-million naira ultra-modern computer system with the technology “is to alleviate the sufferings of members of the Alumni Association during transcripts processing”.

He said, “Some EKSU graduates often find it difficult to get their transcripts and some have missed post-graduate admissions home and abroad due to the poor processing procedures. This gesture will ensure accelerated processing of transcripts and certificates”.

The BOT Chairman, Dr. Jegede, said the donation became imperative to meet up with international best practices.

EKSU Vice Chancellor, Prof Edward Olanipekun, who stressed the significant roles of the Alumni Association in the development of higher institutions, assured of judicious use of the equipment.

Olanipekun said, “The equipment, when put to use accordingly, will ease the burden of members at processing their transcripts and certificates”.
