Abaribe Speaks On Nnamdi Kanu’s Plan To Stop Anambra Election
The lawmaker representing Abia-South Senatorial District, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has disclosed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, did not say election should not hold in Anambra State.
The Senate Minority Leader noted that fifth columnists are behind the plan to stop the electoral process in the state and not the outlawed group.
Abaribe while addressing the leadership and students of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University said the lawyers of the IPOB leader confirmed that the order did not come from their leader.
He said, “Who gave the order that there will be no election? IPOB has never said that there will be no election in Anambra. It is the handwork of 5th columnists.”
There have been claims that IPOB has the intention to stop the November 6th governorship election in Anambra State.
The security situation in the state has become a major concern as unknown gunmen keep attacking security facilities.
Meanwhile, IPOB has ordered a sit-at-home in Anambra State, starting from November 5th.
The order is aimed at prevailing on the Federal Government to release Kanu.
