A President Beyound 70 Years Can't Tackle Nigeria's Problems

The presidential candidate of the Accord Party, Prof. Christopher Imulomen, has said that the challenges facing Nigeria are not those that a president who is 70 years of age or older can tackle.

According to him, Nigeria needs a youthful mind that is at the peak of his career to lead the country out of its current doldrums.

Imumolen said this at a meeting with stakeholders of the Accord Party in Kano, noting that the major challenge facing the country is disunity and that if he becomes president, all that will become history.

The Accord party presidential candidate stated that “Nigerians are suffering across the board, we need a leader that is at the peak of his career, not a leader that is almost declining. We don't need an 80-year-old or 70-year-old president.”

He stated that the problems of Nigeria need a youthful mind to engage them, “I am the only candidate that will tackle insecurity, that will tackle unemployment, that will take all Nigerians as one. There will not be a difference between youths in the north and the south.”

He said that Accord as a party is one that represents unity, hence a president from the party is a guarantee of unity for the country.

Imulomen said: “If you have a president that is from Accord, do you know the meaning of Accord? Accord means oneness and progress. The party represents unity.”

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader in Oyo South Senatorial District, Rashidi Ogunbiyi, was reported to have led other politicians to the Accord Party in the state.

They were received by the Accord Party governorship candidate in the state, Adebayo Adelabu, during a tour of Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency in the state.

He also handed over flags to the party's candidates in the 2023 general elections.

The Director-General of the Accord Party campaign council, Adegboyega Adegoke, and the party's senatorial candidate in Oyo South, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, were also at the forum.
