NBA BRANCH LEADERS VISIT TO PRESIDING JUSTICE: BAR URGED TO SUPPORT EXPEDITED APPEALS
Leadership through collaboration was on display as the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch, Mrs Cordelia Eke, led a delegation of bar leaders on a courtesy visit to the Presiding Justice.
The delegation included the Chairmen of the Degema, Okrika and Isiokpo Branches, as well as Anthony Ezenwoko, Chairman of the Justice Sector Monitoring Committee, NBA Port Harcourt Branch.

During the engagement, the Presiding Justice disclosed that 240 appeals and contentious applications are scheduled for hearing and determination, with 12 panels constituted by over 40 Justices already put in place to ensure an efficient and timely exercise. She appealed to members of the Bar to lend their full cooperation in making the process a resounding success.
In particular, lawyers were urged to attend court fully prepared, ready to proceed with the hearing of their appeals and applications, in order to avoid unnecessary delays and to support the collective goal of speedy justice delivery.
The visit reinforces the importance of constructive engagement between the Bench and the Bar, and highlights the value of coordinated leadership, responsibility, and professional readiness in strengthening the administration of justice.
