The Lagos State Government, on Thursday, removed structures on drainage setbacks beside Silver Springs Schools, Abaranje Road, in the Ikotun area of the state.

The government in a statement on its X handle via @followlasg, said, “Enforcement operatives from the Lagos Waste Management Authority together with Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance officers on Thursday removed illegal kiosks built on drainage setbacks beside Silver Springs Schools, Abaranje Road, Ikotun.”

In the same vein, the state Ministry of Environment and Water Resources said its operatives of the Monitoring Enforcement and Compliance department, acting on a public petition, on Thursday, sealed a building under construction at Onasanya Street, off Ishaga Rd after failing to act on abatement notices.

“The owner of the building discharged all his building materials on the road and drains disrupting the free flow of water. The operatives also demolished all illegal structures on setbacks along the same Onasanya street,” a statement on the ministry’s Facebook handle revealed.
