Nigeria’s business, banking and financial world got a shocker yesterday with reports of the official take over of Union Bank by Titan Trust Bank.
Not much was known about Titan Trust Bank aside the fact that it is reportedly owned by Tunde Lemo, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Former Military President, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has endorsed the Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo to take over power in 2023.
Babangida endorsed the Vice President when he was visited by the Osinbajo Grassroots Organisation at his Hilltop residence in Minna, Niger capital, on Thursday.
The elder statesman while speaking during the visit charged Osinbajo to be resilient and contest in the 2023 general elections.
President Muhammadu Buhari has sworn in the newly-appointed Minister of State for Works and Housing, Malam Muazu Sambo.

The Nigerian military airstrike has killed an ISWAP Commander, Modu Kime, also known as Abou Maryam, and his fighters.
It was gathered that the airstrikes was coordinated along the fringes of Lake Chad in Borno State.
According to PRNigeria, Modu Kime was killed in an airstrikes executed at the river banks of Bisko and Tumbum Tawaye in Abadam Local Government Area.
The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba says the terrorists of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) were unable to hit their targets with rockets launched into Borno State because of the efforts of security operatives.
The IGP stated that it is a worrisome development that the terrorists now have the ability to launch rockets but the security operatives will continue to checkmate their moves just as they’ve been doing.
