Diversity Of Nigeria Is God’s Blessing To The Country – Kukah
The Catholic bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Mathew Hassan Kukah says Nigeria is better as a united country and those calling for the break up of the nation should desist.
Kukah said the diversity of Nigeria should be seen as a blessing, noting that God made no mistake in creating Nigeria the way it is.
The clergy stated that the diverse cultures, religions, and ethnicities should be an advantage rather than a disadvantage.
He made the observation on Sunday while addressing his congregation during a service to mark his 45th anniversary as a priest and 10 years as bishop of the Sokoto Diocese.
“God did not make a mistake for making us a nation of diverse cultures, religions and ethnicities,” he said.
“I talk about Nigeria with pride because before our very eyes, God will do a great thing that we will all rejoice with.”
In other news, former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has claimed that the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, is not an indigene of Lagos State.
Ezenwoko’s Blog reports that the PDP stalwart made the claim during his appearance on Arise News on Monday, December 20, 2021.
George alleged that Tinubu is an indigene of Iragbiji town in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State, adding that the former Lagos governor has failed to acknowledge his country home.
The PDP chieftain added that the APC national leader has continued to lie about his state of origin, qualifications, and other personal matters, saying that he cannot be trusted.
Goerge asked the former Lagos governor to shelve his ambition of becoming the next President of the country and allow a younger and trustworthy candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari
