Breaking: Katsina Deputy Speaker’s Sister Escapes After 105 Days In Kidnapper’s Den
Katsina Deputy Speaker’s younger sister, Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki has escaped from her abductor’s den after spending 105 days in captivity.
The lawmaker while confirming the development disclosed that she escaped during an attack on the bandits’ den by military officers.
Bandit terrorists had abducted Asma’u Dalhatu on September 4, when they invaded Tafoki village in Faskari local government area of Katsina state.
It was gathered that the terrorist attacked the town around 1 am and headed straight to the village head’s residence, which is the family house of the Dalhatus.
The terrorists upon their invasion of the residence kidnapped Asma’u and her sister.
The lawmaker disclosed that on their way into the forest the bandits, “encountered some members of the vigilante group and exchanged gunfire, in the process, one of the girls escaped and returned home, but the other could not run away, so they went away with her”
The Deputy Speaker said Asma’u is a Secondary School leaver who was about to be given out in marriage at the time when the unfortunate incident took place.
