Columbia University names Hillary Clinton professor

Former First Lady of the United States and former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has been appointed a Professor of Practice at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.

Hillary is also a Presidential Fellow at Columbia World Projects. President Clinton felicitated his wife and CU shortly after Columbia University’s President, Lee Bollinger, made the announcement.

The university announced Thursday that Hillary would become a professor next month, “given her extraordinary talents and capacities together with her singular life experiences, Hillary Clinton is unique, and, most importantly, exceptional in what she can bring to the University’s missions of research and teaching, along with public service and engagement for the public good.”

The President, while felicitating Hillary, said on his Twitter handle, “Very proud of Columbia’s newest professor. And by the way, I am on standby if anyone needs help grading papers…”

Hillary, who will assume her new position on February 1, 2023, will work alongside the Sipa dean, Keren Yarhi-Milo, and other senior faculty members on a “variety of major initiatives,” Bollinger added.
