Ex-Taraba Deputy Gov Advocates For Collective Responsibilities To End Insurgence

A former Deputy Governor of Taraba State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji. Uba Ahmadu Maigeri on Saturday advocated for the collective responsibility of all Nigerians to enable the federal government to win the war against insurgence in the country.

Maigeri made the call while delivering his Sallah message in his residence in Jalingo, lamented the security challenges of Nigeria and appealed for collective efforts of the citizens to mitigate the situation.

The ex-deputy governor noted that the daily rise of insecurity was degrading the country in all sectors of development and needed collective efforts of all Nigerians to tackle the situation.

“I am sincerely not comfortable and I believe that all reasonable Nigerians are not comfortable with the security challenges the country is facing now.

“I believe it is time for all Nigerians to collectively rise and support the federal government to win the war. This is security, it is about all citizens and I believe the federal should not be left alone to fight the battle.

“We all need to collectively assist the government in other to save the country from the danger of terrorism,” he advocated.

The APC chieftain also expressed that the APC had no brighter chance of winning the governorship seat of Taraba than now.

According to him, the united force of the party in Taraba and the leadership qualities possessed by her governorship candidate, Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha have given the party an edge over the PDP and her candidate in the state.

“Our chances of winning are now brighter as compared to previous times like 2015 and 2019.

“We are more United and the citizens are with us to win and bring a new Taraba of their dreams.

“This is time for APC, we are set to win, and our candidate senator Emmanuel Bwacha is as well ready to take Taraba to the highest level of development,” he claimed.
