Ekiti Election: APC Beats Senator Olujimi ln Her Polling Unit
The lawmaker representing Ekiti South Senatorial district, Biodun Olujimi lost her polling unit to the All Progressives Congress in Saturday’s governorship election.
Senator Biodun Olujim lost at her Ward 07, Unit 07, Wesley United Primary School in Ekiti East Council area.
According to The Nation, the Independent National Electoral Commission Presiding Officer announced that the All Progressives Congress polled 141 votes while the Peoples Democratic Party and Social Democratic Party secured 110 and 46 votes respectively.
At Unit 32, Ward 09, Olorunsogo Area, Ado-Ekiti, SDP scored 105 votes while APC, PDP ADP, ADC, APP, YPP garnered 56, 13, 5, 1, 3 and 1 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike on Saturday made his first public appearance after losing the Vice Presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Recall that Wike lost the chance to be Atiku Abubakar’s running mate to the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa.
Wike who was dressed in a white kaftan was accompanied by his wife, Justice Eberechi Suzette Nyesom-Wike, to the wedding ceremony of Chima Emmanuel Aguma.
The ceremony was attended by many dignitaries on Saturday.
