It is no longer news that most Nigerian artistes have picked Friday as their release day for new music. It has been a norm for a while now and today is no different. Various artistes have dropped new music and boy are we going to be stuffed!
We start off with Chris Brown as he features Nigeria's and Africa's star boy, Wizkid, fondly called ‘Big Wiz' or ‘Machala' by fans.
The song, titled ‘Call you everyday' sees Wizkid do what he does best, hopping on a beat and totally doing justice to it. With the Afrobeats maestro steadily giving fans bragging rights, it may seem the ‘Essence' crooner has done it again. Chris Brown definitely made the right choice featuring Wizkid on that track.
The song is one of the many tracks off of Chris Brown's coming album, ‘Breezy' set to drop later in the year.
Further on today's releases, multiple record breaker Ckay for his song ‘Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah)' has joined Africa's greats, Focalistic, the South African producer and Davido, one of Nigeria's biggest superstars together to make a track.
The song which he has dubbed ‘Watawi' has fans in a frenzy as Focalistic revs them up the popular Amapiano sound.
Amapiano is not new to Davido as he recently featured Focalistic in his song, ‘Champion Sound,' so making the song vibe worthy for fans didn't really seem like a lot of work.
Fans have gone all over social media, in high praises for Ckay as they commended his hard work. Two kings of Afrobeats, Ckay and Davido on one track? Best to give it a listen!
Today also sees releases from Mayorkun with a track he has dubbed ‘Certified Loner.' Mayorkun is known for dropping or contributing to hit tracks, with his latest involvement being in Ghana artiste's Camidoh's ‘Sugarcane' remix.
He brings to the table today, a piece which is quite relatable. Of course the fans will have to be the judge of that.
Asake with ‘Peace be unto you,' Ruger with the deluxe of his last E.P, ‘Second Wave,' BOJ with ‘See Me,' which is on ‘A Colors Show,' Drake, Eminem, Stefflon Don, Gucci Mane, Dotman featuring Peruzzi, ‘Say no more,' and a host of others.
This is probably the most track-packed New Music Friday in a while so sit back, get your headphones or speakers, and vibe to good music this weekend.
