Reno Omokri Reveals How He Prayed To God Against Maina
A former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri on Monday disclosed that he prayed against former Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina after he sued him.
Reno stated this while reacting to the conviction of Maina on Monday based on the suit filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The former presidential aide in a post on his Facebook account said he decided to take a spiritual step against Maina following his defamation suit, accusing him of being corrupt.
The human rights activist further stated that Maina was apprehended on the same day he started fasting and praying to seek the face of God over the case.
Ezenwoko’s Blog had earlier reported that Federal High Court, Abuja on Monday sentenced Maina to eight years in prison over money laundering.
Reno wrote, “On September 21, 2019, Abdulrasheed Maina, the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, sued me for defamation for calling him a dishonest person.
“He asked for ₦4 billion in damages. The very same day, I fasted and prayed to the Highest God, and Maina, who had previously been in hiding, was arrested exactly two weeks after he sued me.”
“Today, November 8, 2021, Abdulrasheed Maina, was convicted for money laundering by Justice Okon Abang and sentenced to eight years imprisonment.”
“Please do not tell me there is no God, or that he does not answer prayers. This is one more example, in a long list of testimonies, that proves that God does exist and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
“My next prayer is for God to spare my life until Buhari leave office, so I can travel to Nigeria and visit Maina and his son in prison to personally offer them my condolences for their conviction”.
