Reactions As Popular Singer, Buju Changes Stage Name To BNXN

Several reactions have trailed the change of stage name of popular Nigerian singer, Daniel Benson, professionally known as Buju to BNXN.

Ezenwoko’s Blog earlier reported that the Nigerian singer had announced the change of his stage name from Buju to “Benson” written as ‘BNXN’.

On Thursday, the popular singer revealed the reason behind his decision to change his stage name which has become a household name over the years.

The singer who hails from Akwa-Ibom caught the attention of Nigerians after his Lenu remix with Burna Boy.

Buju had to take the hard decision after it was discovered that he shares the same name with American singer, Buju Banton, who has trademarked the name.

It is understood that changing his stage name to BNXN would save him from any lawsuit.

The singer’s new release and project would carry the name BNXN following his announcement on his Twitter account.

Following the announcement, some Nigerians took to social media to share their view on the development, with some appreciating the change of name while others were totally against it.

Who ever advised Buju to change his stage name to “BNXN” is not a good adviser.

Many people will find that to pronounce, one thing is sure, people won’t stop calling him “BUJU”.
