Ghana Vs Nigeria: Ahmed Musa Messages NFF Ahead Of 2022 World Cup Qualifier In March

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has expressed hope that Nigeria will win against Ghana Black Stars in their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier in March.

Speaking during a virtual meeting with Youth and Minister Sunday Dare, chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation and Coaches Augustine Eguavoen and Emmanuel Amuneke, on Tuesday night, Musa prayed the NFF to ensure fans occupy Abuja Stadium on March 29 in their 2nd leg to cheer the Super Eagles up for victory.

The Plateau State-born footballer said the Nigerian team will go to Ghana and dig their feet and ensure they win against the hosts at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 23.

Musa admitted that Ghana are also eager to win the matches as they earnestly crave for the FIFA World Cup, which is the biggest football tournament in the world.

A good number of the Super Eagles players have not been there, and the few of us that have been there, want to experience it again,” Musa said.

He added: “We just want the NFF to help us get enough fans into the Abuja Stadium for the second leg. We will go to Ghana and dig our feet and ensure we get a result.

“We must admit that Ghana also wants to qualify and they have a strong team. The return leg will be crucial and we are ready for the battle, but we want our fans to be in there cheering us on.”

Ezenwoko's Blog recalls that both Nigeria and Ghana were eliminated from the just concluded 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon.
