2023: I’ll Now Focus On Issue-based Campaigns

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has promised to focus on persuading Nigerians on electing the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, in 2023.

In a series of tweets via his Twitter handle on Friday, Omokri said his campaigns for the PDP presidential candidate would now be issue-based and devoid of insults or attacks.

The former presidential aide added that he has entered a new phase of campaigns following the Peace Accord signed by Atiku and other flagbearers on Thursday.

He wrote: “The Peace Accord by the National Peace Committee was signed yesterday (Thursday) by my candidate. We have entered a new phase of campaigns. From today, my focus will be on persuading Nigerians as to why Waziri Atiku Abubakar is the best candidate for 2023, not why others are the worst!

“If I or anybody allied to me have made comments or acted in any way that may have affected the peace of mind of any of the other candidates, and their followers, please understand that that was because of the phase of campaigns we were at. Going forward, we are at a new phase.

‘I believe in my heart, my soul and my spirit that Waziri Atiku Abubakar is the best candidate running for the office of President of Nigeria. However, I do concede that if any of the three main contestants win, they will be an improvement on the incumbent.

“This election is important to me. But it is not a do-or-die affair as far as I am concerned. May God, in keeping to His Word in Daniel 4:17, choose, by the votes of the people of Nigeria, the best man to fulfil His purpose for the nation, Nigeria. In Yeshua’s Name, I pray.”
