Bayern Munich legend, Bastian Schweinsteiger has come out to say that Thomas Muller and Jerome Boateng should be reinstated into the German national team.
He recently revealed this after the country lost 6-0 vs Spain during the international break.
If it were up to me, Boateng and Müller would be in the national team. But I’m not the national team coach,” Schweinsteiger told Kicker, underlining that he has full respect for Löw’s decision, Bulisnews reports.
He added that Germany needs experience and above average players to do well in crunch games, so they cannot afford to drop their best legs.
His words, “The national coach and his team have one opinion but unfortunately I personally have a different one,”
Players like Jerome Boateng and Thomas Muller won the treble with the best team in Europe. They play regularly in the first team and are quality German players. Why aren’t they in the national team?
In games like this especially, it’s important to have players on the pitch that are a cut above, who have experience, who have quality. You could see that we don’t have the required quality yet.” As reported by The InfoStride.
